THE AGONY SCENE To Tour With HIMSA On The DIRTY BLACK SUMMER Tour

To coincide with the May 24 release of their album "The Darkest Red", Tulsa OK's THE AGONY SCENE will embark on a month-long tour supporting HIMSA along with THE ESOTERIC and SCARS OF TOMORROW. Dubbed the Dirty Black Summer tour, the cross-country trek will start in Orangevale, CA on June 13 and end on July 18 in Kansas City, MO. Along the way, the tour will be making stops at the Whiskey a Go-Go in LA on June 16 and the famed CBGBs in New York City on July 7.

"The Darkest Red" is THE AGONY SCENE's first album for Roadrunner Records and the follow-up to their 2003 self-titled debut. Produced by Rob Caggiano (ANTHRAX, CRADLE OF FILTH),"The Darkest Red" features the tracks "Procession" and "Scars of Your Disease", as well as the first single "Prey", which is in rotation on MTV2's "Headbanger's Ball". The band recently wrapped up an extremely successful tour with STRAPPING YOUNG LAD. Earlier this year the band took part in the 2005 Roadrunner Road Rage tour that also featured labelmates 3 INCHES OF BLOOD, TRIVIUM and STILL REMAINS. THE AGONY SCENE is Mike Willams (vocals),Brent Masters (drums),Chris Emmons and Steven Kaye (guitars) and Brian Hodges (bass).
